Events and Programmes Terms
Concise conditions for IAOA conferences, dialogues and capacity-building activities
1. Scope
These Terms apply to events and programmes organised, co-organised, supported or administered by IAOA, unless the relevant activity publishes separate terms. Each activity page should identify the principal organiser and IAOA’s role.
2. Registration and Participation
Registration is subject to availability, eligibility and confirmation. Submission of a form does not guarantee a place. Participants must provide accurate information and follow reasonable instructions issued by the organisers.
3. Fees, Cancellation and Changes
Any fees, included items, refund conditions and deadlines will be stated on the relevant activity page or written notice. IAOA may change speakers, schedules, format, venue or delivery method where reasonably necessary. If an activity is cancelled, the applicable notice will explain any refund, transfer or alternative arrangement. Travel, visa and accommodation costs remain the participant’s responsibility unless expressly included.
4. Certificates
Certificates normally document participation, attendance, contribution or completion. They are not academic degrees, professional licences, institutional accreditation or government-recognised qualifications unless an authorised awarding body expressly states otherwise.
5. Conduct and Safety
Participants should act respectfully and must not engage in harassment, discrimination, threats, disruption, plagiarism or misuse of confidential information. The organisers may refuse or end participation where conduct creates a safety, integrity or operational concern.
6. Photography, Recording and Materials
Events may be photographed or recorded where stated in the activity notice. Participants will be informed of the relevant arrangements and available choices. Speakers and contributors retain rights in their original materials while granting the permissions agreed for event delivery, recording or communication.
7. Partners and External Services
Partners, venues, travel providers and online platforms may apply their own terms and privacy practices. Reference to an organisation or international framework should be understood according to the specific role identified for the activity.
8. Contact
Questions should be sent to the contact address stated for the activity or to info@iaoalliance.org.
