Manuscript Submission Guidelines

1. Manuscript Preparation

Types of Manuscripts Accepted

The journal accepts common types of manuscripts for international academic journals, including but not limited to:

  • Original Research Article: Manuscripts presenting original research findings with complete research design, data analysis, and in-depth discussion.
  • Review Article: Comprehensive summaries and critical analyses of existing research progress in a specific academic field, providing insights into future research directions.
  • Short Communication: Concise reports on significant and timely research results (e.g., preliminary findings of innovative studies or urgent academic discoveries) that require rapid publication.
  • Case Study: Detailed analyses of specific cases (e.g., typical events, individuals, or organizations in the humanities and social sciences) to reveal universal academic principles or practical experiences.
  • Commentary & Opinion: Articles expressing professional views on hot academic topics, latest published research, or academic development trends, supported by reasonable arguments.
  • Teaching Research Paper: Focusing on the humanities and social sciences, this type includes studies on teaching model innovation, curriculum design optimization, teaching effect evaluation, and other teaching-related topics.

All manuscripts must be unpublished (not previously published in domestic or international journals, collected works, conference proceedings, or other public publications). They must not involve duplicate submission, plagiarism, data fabrication, or other academic misconduct.

Academic Norms

Manuscripts must comply with the academic research norms of international humanities and social sciences, with the following requirements:

  • Clear research arguments and sufficient supporting evidence;
  • Reliable data sources and rigorous logical reasoning;
  • Reflection of the innovation, academic value, and practical significance of the research.

Format Requirements

Manuscripts must be formatted strictly in accordance with international academic journal standards, including the following components:

  • Title: Concise and clear, accurately reflecting the core content of the research.
  • Author Information: Full name of each author, full name of the affiliated institution, city and postal code of the institution, and email address. For multi-author manuscripts, the corresponding author and their contact information (phone number and email address) must be clearly indicated.
  • Abstract: 200-300 words, summarizing the research objectives, methods, key results, and conclusions.
  • Keywords: 3-5 terms that accurately reflect the research theme, facilitating index retrieval.
  • Main Text: Including core sections such as Introduction, Research Methods, Research Results, Discussion, and Conclusion, with clear chapter divisions (using hierarchical headings as needed).
  • References: Adopting internationally accepted citation formats (e.g., APA, MLA, or Chicago style), ensuring complete and accurate information, and strict correspondence with in-text citations.
  • Funding Information: If the research is supported by funding projects, specify the project name and project number.
  • Author Biographies (Optional): Brief descriptions of each author's academic title, research interests, and representative research achievements (if applicable).

Language Requirements

Manuscripts must be written in English with the following standards:

  • Fluent expression and standard grammar, avoiding grammatical errors or awkward phrasing;
  • Accurate use of professional terminology consistent with the academic field;
  • Compliance with the language standards of international academic publishing to ensure readability and academic rigor.

2. Submission Process

Online Submission System:

  • All manuscripts must be submitted through our online submission portal.
  • Create an account and complete author profile information.
  • Upload manuscript files, figures, and supplementary materials.
  • Complete submission checklist and copyright agreement.
  • Submit cover letter explaining the significance of your research.

Required Documents:

  • Main manuscript file (without author identifying information for blind review).
  • Title page with complete author information.
  • Figures and tables in high-resolution format.
  • Supplementary materials (if applicable).
  • Ethics approval documentation (for human/animal studies).
  • Conflict of interest disclosure statement.

3. Peer Review Process

Review Timeline:

  • Initial Editorial Review: 2-3 weeks.
  • Peer Review: 6-8 weeks (double-blind review).
  • Author Revision: 4-6 weeks for major revisions.
  • Final Decision: 2-3 weeks after revision submission.

Review Criteria:

  • Originality and significance of research contribution.
  • Methodological rigor and appropriateness.
  • Clarity of presentation and writing quality.
  • Relevance to journal scope and readership.
  • Ethical considerations and compliance.

4. Publication Ethics

Authorship Requirements:

  • All listed authors must have made substantial contributions to the work.
  • Authors must approve the final version for publication.
  • Corresponding author is responsible for communication during review process.
  • Changes to authorship after submission require written consent from all authors.

Research Integrity:

  • Manuscripts must report original, unpublished research.
  • Simultaneous submission to multiple journals is prohibited.
  • Proper citation of all sources and acknowledgment of prior work.
  • Data fabrication, falsification, or plagiarism will result in rejection.
  • Conflicts of interest must be disclosed transparently.

5. Copyright and Licensing

Copyright Transfer:

  • Authors retain copyright while granting publication rights to IAO Alliance.
  • Creative Commons licensing options available for open access.
  • Authors may deposit accepted manuscripts in institutional repositories.
  • Commercial use requires separate licensing agreement.
  • Authors who intend to sell or forfeit part or all of their copyrights are encouraged to do so through a publication contract at the time of submission.
