Online Academic Exchange Conference for Young Scientists of Central Asia and China Held

International Academic Organization Alliance (IAOA) successfully held the Central Asia Young Scientists Academic Conference (CAYSAC 2026) online on May 22, 2026. The event was part of the UNESCO "International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development" series.

Co-organizers included the College of Engineering of China Agricultural University; the Key Laboratory of Clean Utilization Technology for Renewable Energy, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs; the International Joint Research Center for Biomass Energy Science and Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology; the Beijing International Science and Technology Cooperation Base for Clean Utilization of Biomass; the Hubei Engineering Research Center for Novel Catalytic Materials; the Hubei Key Laboratory of Plasma Chemistry and Advanced Materials; TIIAME National Research University (Uzbekistan); the International Humanities Cooperation and Development Center; the Zhongguancun Tianhe Science and Technology Achievement Transformation Promotion Center; and the Service Platform for International Professionals.

Broadcast live on the IAOA platform, the conference brought together early-career researchers from China, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, and Iran, among other countries, to share findings in agricultural engineering, energy materials, ecological restoration, and biotechnology.

Research Highlights

Professor Jiang Jizhou from Wuhan Institute of Technology presented his work on Sulfur-doped g-C3N4 for photocatalytic H2 evolution. He proposed the concept of a "Isotype S-scheme heterojunction" shedding light on charge carrier separation and catalytic efficiency.

Professor Dr. Obid Tursunov from TIIAME National Research University, Uzbekistan, introduced laser biotechnology applications to boost crop yields and restore saline-alkali and contaminated lands, using China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region as a case study.

Professor Zhou Yuguang from China Agricultural University discussed bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS) as a pathway to net-zero sustainable agriculture.

Dr. Bayu Nugraha from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia, spoke on computer-aided food engineering for future food processing and preservation.

Assistant Professor Dr. Esmaeil Mehryar from Isfahan University of Technology, Iran, reported on enhancing biogas production through ultrasound-pretreated anaerobic co-digestion of oil refinery wastewater and food waste, including process optimization and modeling.

Avliyobek Juraboev, a Ph.D. candidate at TIIAME National Research University, presented a feasibility study on harvesting fluctuating wind pressure in road tunnels as a potential energy source.

Certificates and Regional Impact

All registered young participants received electronic certificates of attendance.

The IAOA noted that Central Asia faces shared challenges in sustainable agriculture, energy transition, and environmental protection—and that young scientists are critical to advancing regional cooperation. The organization will continue to support academic exchanges and joint research between early-career scholars in China and Central Asia through its journals and networks.

The IAOA is an international alliance promoting interdisciplinary research, academic publishing, and collaborative academic networks across five continents. It aims to advance global academic excellence, build bridges across cultures and disciplines, and foster innovation and knowledge exchange among researchers worldwide. It publishes three journals: Global Humanities and Social Sciences (GHSS), Scientific Engineering, and Teaching Research.
