Global Humanities and Social Sciences (GHSS) provides an international platform for original, well-grounded disciplinary and interdisciplinary scholarship across the humanities and social sciences.

The journal aims to advance understanding of societies, cultures, institutions and human development; encourage dialogue across disciplines, regions and intellectual traditions; support comparative, cross-cultural and internationally relevant research; connect theoretical inquiry with evidence-based analysis; enhance the visibility of scholarship from diverse and underrepresented regions and academic communities, including the Global South; and uphold academic integrity, open access and responsible scholarly communication.

GHSS welcomes research of international, regional or local relevance, provided that the manuscript makes a clear scholarly contribution, demonstrates appropriate academic rigour and falls within the journal’s stated scope.
