Open Access Policy
Global Humanities and Social Sciences (GHSS) is a fully open-access journal. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0), unless otherwise indicated.
Authors retain copyright in their work and grant the International Academic Organizations Alliance (IAOA) a non-exclusive licence to publish, reproduce, distribute, archive and make the article publicly available, and to identify GHSS as the original place of publication.
Under CC BY 4.0, readers may copy, share, redistribute, adapt and build upon published content for any purpose, including commercial purposes, provided that:
- appropriate credit is given to the author or authors and the original publication in GHSS;
- a reference or link to the CC BY 4.0 licence is provided; and
- any changes made to the original work are clearly indicated.
Reuse must not suggest that the author, GHSS or IAOA endorses the user, the adapted material or the manner in which it is used.
Third-party material included in an article may be subject to separate copyright or licensing conditions where this is indicated in the article. Users are responsible for obtaining any additional permission required for the reuse of such material.
Publication Charge Policy
Current policy, effective July 2026: GHSS does not charge authors a submission fee or an Article Processing Charge (APC).
Authors are not required to pay a fee to submit a manuscript, have it considered for review or publish an accepted article. Editorial decisions are based on the manuscript’s academic quality, relevance, originality and compliance with the journal’s editorial and ethical requirements.
The journal may review this policy in the future to support sustainable editorial and publishing operations. Any change will be published clearly on the journal website before it takes effect and will apply only to manuscripts submitted after the effective date of the revised policy.
Changes to the publication charge policy will not be applied retrospectively to manuscripts already submitted under the current policy.
