Open Access & Publication Charges
All articles published in Scientific Engineering are made freely and immediately available online. Readers are not required to register, subscribe or pay to access the full text.
Copyright and Licence
Authors retain copyright in their articles and grant Scientific Engineering the right of first publication. Unless otherwise stated for specific third-party material, articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence (CC BY 4.0). This licence permits sharing and adaptation, including for commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given, a link to the licence is supplied and changes are indicated.
The copyright notice and licence statement will be displayed on each article landing page and in the published PDF. The general copyright notice in the IAOA website footer applies to the website design and non-article content; it does not override the open licence attached to published articles.
Publication Charges
At present, Scientific Engineering does not charge submission fees, editorial processing fees, article processing charges (APCs), page charges or colour charges. Authors are not required to pay a fee for peer review or publication.
The fee policy may be reviewed in the future. Any change will be announced clearly on this page before it applies to new submissions. No fee, waiver, institutional relationship, conference participation or separately arranged service will influence editorial assessment or guarantee acceptance.
Repository and Sharing Rights
Authors may deposit the submitted manuscript, accepted manuscript and published version in institutional or subject repositories, personal websites and research-sharing platforms, provided that the published version is cited and its licence is respected.
Third-Party Material
Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for material that is not owned by them or not covered by the article’s open licence. Any different copyright or licensing status must be identified in the figure caption, table note or relevant section.
